Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment. 

Order Shipment:

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order.  We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at support@thegarageoutfitter.com.

We work very hard to ensure that we offer the absolute best prices online.  If you find another online store that offers a lower price then us within six months of your purchase date please let us know and we will refund your original payment for the difference.  We want you to feel confident that you are getting the absolute best price for the product you are ordering. If you find that our own website has a lower price for the same item you have ordered within six months of your purchase date will refund the difference as well.

To request your partial refund simply e-mail us a link to the same product on our website, or on our competitors website within six months from the date of your order and we will process the credit accordingly.

Our 100% Price Guarantee has some limitations:

• You must purchase the item from our website before requesting your Price Match Guarantee
• Promotions such as rebates and buy one, get one free offers are not eligible
• The item must be in stock on the competitors website
• The competitor must be an online store, they may not have a retail location
• The website can not be a discounter or auction website (ie; eBay, overstock, etc..)
• The competitor must be an Authorized Retailer of the product in question
• The following brands are excluded from this Price Match Guarantee: Montezuma
• The Price Match Guarantee includes the item price and the shipping charges, it excludes sales tax

We offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee on all unopened, unused, and undamaged units. The unit must be unaltered and in original, new condition. Shipping charges to SmarterHome must be paid by customer.

Upon acceptance and processing of the return, all funds will be returned to the original method of payment (minus any fees) and will be processed by SmarterHome within 7 business days of receipt of product (excluding weekends and holidays).

SmarterHome reserves the right to remedy any minor defects in defective units by replacing defective, inoperable, or missing parts rather than offering a refund or exchange.

After 30 days, and up to 90 days from the date of purchase, if product has not been installed, it can be returned for a refund, less 10% restocking fee. Shipping charges to SmarterHome must be paid by customer. The unit(s) must be undamaged and in original, new condition.

Due to the nature and logistics of inventory management and distribution, after 90 days, no returns will be accepted.

SmarterHome DOES NOT accept returns on units that have been installed, modified, scratched, damaged, or abused as they cannot be resold as new products. If you made a mistake while mounting a SmarterHome Lifter, we may have several remedies available to you to help you repair the damaged area and still be able to use your unit. However, we will not accept a return within our terms.

What is covered: Any defect in material and workmanship from personal, normal household use in accordance with the Owner’s Manual.

For how long: Lifetime, from date of purchase.

Who Gets the Warranty: The warranty is limited to the consumer who originally purchased the product.

Geographic Scope: This warranty applies only to the SmarterHome Product purchased in the United States and Canada.

What we will do: If your SmarterHome Product is defective, we will send replacement parts or, at our option, replace it at no charge to you after the defective product is returned to SmarterHome. If we send replacement parts for your SmarterHome Product, we may use new or reconditioned parts. If we choose to replace your SmarterHome Product, we may replace it with a new or reconditioned one of the same or similar design.

Limitations: IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MERCHANTABILITY (AN UNWRITTEN WARRANTY THAT THE PRODUCT IS FIT FOR ORDINARY USE) ARE LIMITED TO ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. WE WILL NOT PAY FOR: LOSS OF USE OF YOUR SMARTERHOME PRODUCT OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOUR SMARTERHOME PRODUCT OR ITS FAILURE TO WORK ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM MISUSE OR MODIFICATION OF YOUR SMARTERHOME PRODUCT. Some states and provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions may not apply.

How to get Warranty Service: To get warranty service for your SmarterHome Product, you must provide proof of date and place of purchase of the product. Trained representatives will assist in diagnosing the problem and will arrange to supply you with required parts for repairs or replacement product after defective product is returned to SmarterHome.

Warranty Does Not Cover: This warranty does not cover installation commercial use, defects resulting from accidents, damage while in transit to our service location or damage resulting from altercations misuses or abuse, lack of proper maintenance, unauthorized repair or modifications of the product, affixing of any attachment not provided with the product, staples through wiring, pinched or broken wires, broken cables power outages, use of extension cords, missing or damaged parts or discounted clearance, final sale or taped cartons fire, flood, acts of God, or failure to follow the Owner’s Manual. This warranty is the only one we will give on your SmarterHome Product. There are no other express warranties. Customer pays for shipping on warranty replacements.

State Province Rights: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have the other rights that vary from state to state and province to province.
